Big Kids!

Austin , Kyler and Alex have all decided that they want to ride their bikes without training wheels..HMMMMM..
So Kyle decided we would take the bikes with us on Sunday so the kids first time trying could be the same place his and Shawn's were, I thought that was a sweet thought.
As you guessed not a one of them were prepared for this but we let them give it a shot.If they would all have just looked straight ahead instead of down, they may have gotten it.Towards the end Alex started improving but all 3 decided they did want their training wheels back on!That was fine with all of us because we were all exhausted from the effort..
So I guess another few months and they may want to try it again..

Happy Birthday Gran!

Sunday we got together at Papa and Grans for the day and celebrated Gran on her birthday. We spent the whole day outside because it was so beautiful not too.
The kids had a blast riding their bikes all over Papa and Grans awesome driveway. The boys were thrilled when Gran helped them look for snakes and bugs too. They actually caught a baby grass snake but I screamed so Austin threw it back because I scared him! He was very upset with me about that!
We did dinner , cake and presents , then it was back outside for more fun.
I brought supplies and all the kids decorated Easter buckets for the upcoming annual egg hunt at Papa and Grans neighborhood.
Before leaving all 6 kids got baths because they were filthy from all the days activities!
We all had a wonderful day visiting and enjoying the kids.Happy Birthday Gran!

Busy Busy Day...

The day started at 7am to get out the door for games. This morning the twins games were each at 9am.Luckily though the fields were right next to each other so I put my chair right in the middle so I could see and cheer for both my kids. Both games went really well and both scored a goal for their team!
After the games we headed to the park for some playtime and a picnic since the weather was so beautiful.Kyler had stayed with us the night before so we got to take him with us and the kids had a great time together.
When we got home Shawn and Kyle took the boys to the pond to fish and get dirty while Taryn and I took the girls for pedicures.I was very long over due for one and it was so nice to have to sit and not get up !I honestly feel like I have not sat down in over a week .Better busy than bored though.
We had some friends over tonight , we grilled some steaks and all the kids ran around outside.
Its been a long day but it was truly another great Saturday.Tomorrow after church I have a meeting for a new committee I was asked to be on for event planning for our church! Yes! I actually get to plan more parties! I love it!
After wards we are off to Grand Prairie to be with Gran to celebrate her birthday.Another good day on its way!

Spring Break Fun!

Today we were invited to our friends house to see all their new baby goats. They have a few acres and a lot of animals!
The kids had so much fun on the swing set , holding and chasing baby goats , riding the pony and their bounce house..SO much for us to do!We had a great picnic lunch before we left as well.
I am absolutely exhausted but it sure was a blast and a wonderful way to spend this beautiful day.

Ribs!!

Sunday we had dinner at my Moms..I am thrilled to learn all my kids love ribs as much as I do!They each ate their weight in ribs!

Poor Baby....

Alex had been having a few complications this weekend and I was planning on taking her to see the Dr. first thing Monday morning but that was not to be.After soccer the boys went fishing and I was taking Miss Alex to a princess birthday party at a tea room.Well a quick trip to the Wal-Mart bathroom changed some plans when Alex had blood in her urine.i knew Monday morning was not going to work.I was going to take her to the ER right then but she begged to just go to the party for the dress up part and to give her friend the gift.I gave in and we went ahead to the party for about an hour then we made our way to the ER...
Sure enough the test came back that she had a UTI..The Dr. said it was a very prominent one with lots of bacteria and inflammation in her system..Kids are really tough because the one time had a UTI it literally brought me to my knees! Not her though...
So we got some antibiotics and Alex and I had a talk about things we can do to make sure that does not happen again.
By the time we made it home I was so exhausted. It was a really really long day...

Opening Day

Saturday was our first soccer games of the season.we started the day early with Austins game at 9am.It was great to see some familiar faces and meet the new parents as well.Austin did great! He was always running and keep trying to get the ball.He made contact a few times and assisted his other team mates too.I am so glad to see him having so much fun!
We had 2 hours in between games so we took a picnic lunch to the local park.It was such a beautiful day and we really enjoyed the little family outing. We headed back to the fields after a little play time for Alex's game. She did great as well. She jumped right back into the game as if there was never a winter break.I am super excited about this seasons games and can't wait for next Saturday.Perhaps my true calling is to be a soccer Mom?? Hard to believe but Mandy is 3! We celebrated her birthday this year at a new indoor bounce facility and it was fabulous! The kids had a blast running all over that place and bouncing.Austin hit Paw Paw Ted up for A LOT of quarters to play the video games,he was so sweet to give him everything he had willingly!Mandy got lots of great gifts and enjoyed being the princess that day.She may be 3 now but she will always be little May-May to Gage!

Oklahoma

I know its been a long time since I have updated and I'm sorry. We have been really busy around here!
Last week I picked the kids up from school a little early and we headed up to Oklahoma to see Mimi for a few days.
The first thing the kids did was beg to go to the workshop then for tractor rides. Nana said they have all improved their tractor driving skills since the last trip!
Friday evening we had a wonderful fish dinner with some more of our family and enjoyed a nice visit.
We headed home that Saturday so it was a flying trip.
It was short but we really had a great time seeing Mimi..
