Look Out San Antonio!!

This weekend we took the twins to Sea World ,it was their birthday present from us. Gage stayed with Nana and PawPaw so it was just the four of us.We had a blast!
We of course hit traffic on the way down.Right in the middle of Austin rush hour our Austin decides he has to pee! It took about 15 minutes to get to a station so as you can imagine it was 15 minutes of screaming.We finally get Austin settled and we are out of traffic trying to make up for lost time when Alex gets car sick in Kyle,Texas! Strawberry milk curdles! We had to strip her down and pour bottles of water over her to get her clean but she still smelled! Plus I had to dig out chunks from every crevice of her car seat.Not fun..
After that it was smooth sailing until San Antonio rush hour.Yes , traffic AGAIN!
When we finally made it to the hotel we were so relieved.After checking in I had to borrow the hotels cleaner and get to working on the car seat!
We got lucky and their was a Texas Roadhouse and a Bennigans in walking distance.We had a great dinner at T.R. that night and rested up for the big day.
First thing in the morning we went and ate our free continental breakfast then off we went!
Our first activity was the Shamu show.Everyone but Alex had a good time.As soon as he popped up for the first time Alex started crying! She was scared , of Shamu! The rest of the day went better for her.She loved the penguins and alligators.Austins favorite was the dolphins! He was so excited and Daddy got to touch one! Alex of course was scared of them! She did like playing with the dead fish we bought to feed them though.
Everything was going great till it was time to pick out a souvenir. Austin was grabbing stuff that was all $2 or under.Alex though was grabbing $25 dolphin slippers and $15 barbies! So she ended up having a tantrum in the gift shop and was carried out! She got a t shirt and a dolphin and that was it!
Daddy's favorite art was the Budweiser hospitality house! It was air conditioned and they gave you 2 free beers! So Sea World had something for all of us!
After dinner at Bennigans(kids eat free on Sat!), we decided to take a shower and head on home.We thought it would be a much faster trip at night than waiting for the morning.We were right! It took us 3.5hours to get home.I believe it could be a record!
We are all glad to be home but it was great getting to show my kids so many awesome things this weekend.

Sleeping In The Woods..

Well it is done! Nana came over today and we painted the boys room and put up their mural.God bless Nana because without her it would have taken me weeks to do it,plus she is a much better painter and wall paperer than I am!
It looks awesome! Austin told me when he was checking it out that he was in the woods now!
We have a few more items till its 100% complete but it sure does look great.

Family Day!

Today Papa and Gran came to Nana and Paw Paws for lunch.It was funny because when the twins saw them there they looked a little confused! They are used to seeing them at Gran and Papas house.
It was a beautiful day , a little hot though. Perfect day for swimming.Austin was such a fish today! Nana bought them little ring floats and to all of our surprise Austin held onto it and jumped in.He floated/swam for the whole afternoon.The only time he ever got out was to go to the bathroom.Alex finally was coaxed in the boat.After a while and after being told her ring was pink she decided to give it a try.She liked it too but was much more cautious in it than Austin.
Gage enjoyed swimming with Daddy.Daddy even put him on the waterfall for a few jumps!
We all ate a wonderful lunch and had a great visit with each other. Its always a fun time to visit each of the Grand Parents but its double fun when we can do it all together..

Day 11...

Well I am guessing by now some of you have lost money! Too bad because we are still going strong.It is hard to believe we have not smoked for 11 days.I know 11 days does not seem like much to a non smoker but trust me 2 hours is a lot to a smoker!I am happy to report I have not gained any weight YET , in fact I have lost 4 lbs in the last 3 weeks!Shawn however is eating like a starving person.Lucky for him he likes Raisin Bran so I keep that in stock so he can eat that instead of running to Fast Taco!

Slumber Party!

The twins have not gotten to see much of their cousin Kyler lately so we invited him over for a slumber party last night.The three of them had so much fun together.The last one to sleep was Austin at 11pm,Kyler was the first to rise at 7am. After a breakfast of french toast sticks the day was off to a running start. While I was trying to do the laundry they decided to take off with my pillow cases.So I then decided to teach them how to have a sack race! That was funny and they all loved it.Kylers Mommy came to pick him up around 2pm so the fun has ended.Oh well , until next time...

Another First..

Today Nana and Paw Paw picked up the twins to take them to their very first movie! They saw Shrek the third and loved it. They watched the whole movie on what they call a really big tv!
Good thing that kids 3 and under are free because Nana bought 4 small cokes and 4 small popcorn's for $34! Can you believe that? Ridiculous.Not to mention a matinee ticket is $6.50! That used to be a full price ticket.I do not see how people can work at those concessions.I would be absolutely embarrassed every time I told the customer that their $1.50 Coke was $6!!
We all ate pizza when they got back and visited.Our friends Darrell and Jill came over too.We had not seen them in awhile so it was good to catch up with them.Afterwards Daddy, me and the kids went to Wal-Mart to buy Daddy an early Fathers Day gift.He got him a new reel and lures.He is going fishing in the morning so that is why it was that early.
No plans really for Memorial Day.Oh wait , yes I do , LAUNDRY! How exciting!

Saturday With The Family..

We had a great day! Our day started when Papa and Gran came for lunch.The kids were excited all week that they were coming.They brought them chatter bats from the Ranger game and they were a big hit.The twins favorite part was when Papa would "get them" has they ran by the couch.The objective was to get to the other couch without being "got".Papa played really hard with them so he had to take a little nap! When Alex saw he was napping she got sad.She announced that it's no fun when Papa takes a nap! Too cute!
After Papa and Gages nap we all loaded up and went to look at some Toy Box RV"S that Papa might buy.They are absolutely awesome! They have everything you need.The back part serves as a garage.We sure hope they get that big one so we can all go camping together soon.
Afterwards Papa and Gran went home then we went to the store and then decided to pick up some burgers and take dinner to Grandma and Grandpa.They were excited about the visit.The kids had a blast in Grandmas beautiful yard.They ran,played in the fountain and ate probably a pound of M&M's each! They know Grandma as the M&M lady! Every time they see her its the first thing they ask for.Grandma was very sweet with Gage while he tried many many times to re-pot her plants for her!By the time we left they were in desperate need of a bath!
They are in bed now and Daddy and I are sitting on our butts , glad not to be chasing kids anymore...
