Goo.....

Who would have thought just a few things in your pantry could be oh so much fun!
The kids had tons of fun and the mess wasn't that bad either...

Old Settlers Reunion...

Upon arriving home on Monday afternoon we hurried to get ready to decorate the A.Y.A. cheer float for the parade.
Christy and I decorated while the girls watched a movie!I think we did an awesome job too!
The girls rode on the float and they were hot , tired and whinny at the end of the parade. After dinner and ice cream at DQ all kids and adults were doing much better!
It was a great experience for our first official "Cheer Mom" duties...

Oklahoma

Last Saturday Mom and I took the kids up to Oklahoma for a weekend visit.
We started at my Aunts house in the country. The kids had the absolute best day out there! We hiked , fed the horses and rabbits, rode a 4-wheelers and ran all over their land.
They were covered in dirt from head to toe by the time we left at night fall. They all crashed hard after their bath.
Sunday we got up and did a little shopping.Gage was not in a shopping mood so I cut out a little early and went back to Grandmas where we played in the work shop all afternoon.when Mom and Grandma got back they took the kids on tractor rides to the store for candy and an icee.
Of course after dinner they had to have one last tractor ride! My kids LOVE those rides and its a special thing they connect with visiting Mimi.
We left first thing Monday morning. The kids and I had a great visit and cant wait to go back in October for the Deer Festival.

Special Date...

Thursday night Shawn took Alex on a Daddy Daughter date to the Rangers game..Her friends Bri Anna,Mandy, and Marissa came with their Daddies as well.
She was very excited all day about the date. She told me she was going to eat nachos and snuggle with her Daddy! Well I know she got the nachos and lots of other treats there too.
The girls all came back and told us what a wonderful time they had..The Dads agreed , the girls didn't even want to leave!
Good job Dads , it was a special night for those girls..

Day at the Lake....

Today we went to the lake with my parents and our friends. We caught a break in the rain and were able to enjoy most of the day rain free playing in the water.Shawn FINALLY got up and was able to do some skiing this time...We grilled out and had a fabulous fajita lunch.
We rented the pedal boat again and Kyler could not get enough of that thing! I'm thinking we need to go ahead and buy one for what I spend in renting for the lake days.
After lunch Nana took the kids for snow cones. Its become a tradition and they all start asking right when we finish lunch and they don't stop till she takes them!
The rain came so the guys were not able to try the knee board out so we made a date to go back soon.
This summer has been so much fun going to the lake and playing on the jet skis.Thank you Nana and Papaw for sharing with all of us...

Fresh Blueberries..

Special thanks to Taryn for bringing me back a lot of wonderful fresh picked blueberries from her recent trip to Georgia.
I made some miniature blueberry cheesecakes with some of them and they would not have turned out near as good without those sweet blueberries.Thank you to Kyler and Mandy too who picked them and saved me some!

Cotton Candy!

We now have our very own cotton candy machine! The kids are thrilled to get such a treat at home. This was our first time making it and the kids were super excited and enjoyed every last bit of it!
