Practice...

Tonight we had our second practice.
The kids are really not doing that bad!Aunt Taryn pointed out that they are really doing good keeping up with the 5 year olds. The only real issue is attention spans. They get bored practicing catch after awhile. We have to tell them over and over to put their glove back on and get back to the field till Coach says to break. The one picture is when all 3 of them went after the ball after it was hit.Their batting is getting better too! It really is exciting to see them out there playing with their team.Austin was more interested in flirting with the Coaches daughter than catching! He better watch out before he gets benched!
Gage and Mandy make a good cheering squad too! They have had a lot of fun running around at the practices. Gage was shirtless as you can see after he took a shower with the Gatorade cooler!
Shawn is really into them playing T Ball.He and Kyle are Assistant Coaches and they love it.Its good to see them out there with the kids.
Shawn even had us leave an hour early tonight so he could mow the practice area! I love it!
I was excited because I got voted Team Mom! I'm sure because nobody really wants to do it but I was happy none the less.
We have our first scimmage on Monday night.
GO LITTLE INDIANS!!

Meet The Coach!

Tonight all of us went to the field for a meet the coach and parents meeting. It was really a lot of fun! While the Coach talked with the parents the kids got to play with their team mates on the field. We found out practices and game schedules. We even have a name,Little Indians.I offered that up when someone suggested playing off the towns name.Nobody objected to my suggestion but Shawn and Kyle sure gave me a hard time after! Whatever,I think its cute.
The youth association here is run off all volunteer work so I volunteered to help run the concession stand on game nights.I wont miss their games because you work during one game either before or after your child's game.I figure I can put all my fast food employment to use!
After the meeting the coach made the kids run laps.Too cute! It took them a minute but they got into it and had fun.Alex would yell"Look at me Mommy im running!".Gage was so adorable. While the kids were running he got out on the field and tried to run with them! He will be a ball player , I can already tell.
None of the kids wanted to go home.We have practice twice this week so I will let you know how it goes. This is going to be blast!

Slumber Party!

All 3 kids had a slumber party at Nanas Friday night! Shawn and I had some work to do so Nana helped us out with the kids.
From the stories I heard they all had a blast! They went for walks, swimming and had pizza and cookies. The night time was fun too because Nana made them a big pallet and they watched movies and ate popcorn out of their very own popcorn buckets! When your their age having your own popcorn bucket is a big deal!
In the morning Nana took them all to the park then to McDonald's.Needless to say they were not happy when it was time to come home. They love having their regular slumber party's at Nanas.
Nana really enjoys them too.Its a win for all!

Little League Story Time!

Nana and I took the twins to the ballpark today for story time.It is a wonderful program, thanks to Aunt Taryn for filling us in on it.
They read the kids a book that is baseball related .This month it was Jungle Baseball, the hippos vs.the monkeys! Before the story the teacher explains the game of baseball so that everyone will understand.Afterwards they do a craft related to the story. They had a choice of a hippo or a monkey hat to make. The twins each made hippo hats.
Then they took the kids to a kids size ballpark by the field where they got to play t-ball.That was a lot of fun! Austin loved being in the outfield and running after the balls.Alex didn't enjoy that as much as she did hitting.Nana ran the bases with her and she loved it!
Couldn't ask for a better activity to spend time with my kids.We will be back!

Nana To The Rescue!!!!

Weirdest thing...
Shawn and I were talking this morning about how we were going to get all 3 kids new wardrobes for the fall and winter.Things are a little tight with the repairs to the rental house not to mention paying 2 mortgages right now.About 10 minutes after our chat there was Nana .She surprised us all with donuts and bags , I mean BAGS , of clothes and shoes! We were shocked to say the least. We are so grateful for the help and for her being so thoughtful. Now we just have a few bum around clothes to get and its all taken care of!What a great day!!!

Getting Out!

Sunday we got to get out of the front of our house thanks to Nana for inviting us over for some dinner and swimming. As many know we have been living in the front of our house because of some flooding issues. We have nothing but our mattresses to sit on so getting out for the day is a must!
Life these days has been pretty challenging to say the least.I am dealing with our house here and Shawn is having to repair our other home that the renter destroyed.A special thanks to Uncle Rick and Aunt Karen for helping him out yesterday.Shawn has so much work to do with very little time so it was greatly appreciated. We are just trying to keep afloat right now.Keep us in your prayers!!!

T-Ball Time!!!

Austin,Alex and Kyler are playing T-Ball this fall! This is going to be so exciting.I think the 4 of us are just as excited as the little ones. Its hard to believe that the 3 of them are big enough for T-Ball.They are growing up so fast.
We did some practicing tonight at Kylers. They have A LOT to learn but I'm sure they will all catch on.The older twins will soon be transformed to those crazy sports parents in no time! HAHA
I bet no one will have a larger cheering section.
Look out AYA,here come the Gouldings.

The Day Can Only Get Better....Right????

It started at 7am with a phone call from our credit union wondering if we tried to purchase $700 worth of electronics last night...Uh...NO! Apparently Shawns card he uses for work expenses had the number stolen. No doubt in my opinion from one of those scanky Hooters waitresses!Luckily there were 2 attempts for $700 purchases that our wonderful bank declined. So that was the start. Then a glance in the back yard uncovered water up to our brick! Yep , again. We got lucky though because the two houses next to us were flooded.Water in the kitchens , bedroom and living rooms. We are holding our breath to see what the rest of the rain will bring today.
Shawn said the day can only get better.I sure hope so because it doesn't seem it could get any worse..
