Fun Times!

Today was absolutely beautiful! We went outside for just a little bit but could not stay long because of yesterdays sunburns. While we were out we drew with sidewalk chalk, blew bubbles and ate popsicles. It was short but very nice.
After cousin Megan came over we went in and did a little finger painting!
Its always a huge mess but the kids really love it so its worth it.
No piece of art is complete either until you paint your tummy!
The kids had a great time playing with Megan and I bet Megan sleeps pretty well after coming over.
I wish we could have spent more time outside but it was a good day all the same.

I Call This Karma!!!

AFTER!

Catch of The Day...

After Shawn caught a little Bass he brought it over for the kids to see.
As you can tell they all were a little apprehensive.
Kyler and Gage got brave and touched it.Well I think poked is a better word!
Mandy looked at them all like they had lost their minds!!

Another Day At The Pond!

I swear I would not trade our little pond for anything!
Today we again decided to head down to the pond for some fun and take advantage of a beautiful day.
The kids rode their 4 wheelers , fished and flew kites again.
Aunt Taryn , Uncle Kyle ,Kyler and Mandy joined us as well. The kids always have a blast but enjoy it better with their cousins there too.
Aunt Taryn played soccer with the kids and it was really cute.Later Kyler was trying to teach Gage how to play!
After a couple of hours we headed back home to bathe before our big family dinner.
All of us Goulding's went to Babes and of course I am miserably full!
It was a great time getting the whole family together for a visit and dinner. The kids as always were excited to be with each other.
It really was a terrific Sunday. My kids all got their first sunburn of the year!
Beautiful weather ... ..Good company.....Great day!

Dental Visit..

This morning I took all 3 kids to see the dentist.I really can not say enough how AWESOME this place is.The whole office is painted and decorated in an outdoor theme and every single room is kid friendly. The Hygienist took us back and showed us happy mouths and sad mouths and what each mouth eats that makes it sad or happy.Afterwards they gave them all new toothbrushes and let them choose between 6 different character toothpaste and showed them how to brush properly.Let me just say say these people were WONDERFUL with children.
Before they had their cleaning she let all the kids use the actual polisher , water and suction on these animal models to show them what she would be doing to them. They loved being able to touch and use the equipment!
Austin and Alex had x-rays but Gage did not need them because he still had big spaces between each tooth..
The cleanings all went well and the Dentist herself is really the warmest person who the kids took a liking to very quickly.
Alex had no cavities but unfortunately Austin had 4! They are really the begining of cavities. The dentist told me that the cavities he has are impossible to see in an exam , they are only seen by x-ray because they are in between the teeth. At this age they still have spaces but as they get older they tighten up and thats what happened to Austins back teeth. So we need to be sure to floss the back teeth. If there are visible spaces then there is no need to floss because a toothbrush can clean it.It was a good thing we had x-rays or else the cavitie would not have been detected until it penetrated the whole tooth ,so this is a much easier fix.
We saw on Alex's x-ray that she will more than likely loose that dark tooth before school so we should not have to worry about bonding it.It was really cool seeing their adult teeth above the baby teeth in the x-rays.
All and all a successful visit. I am so lucky to have found this dentist , and she is local! Seriously , they rock over there!
They all left with goody bags and balloons and no one ever cried!
Almost forgot ! Alex was 36lbs , Austin 51 lbs , and Gage was 30lbs...

Looks Like I Am It!!!

5 things about me..HMMMMM.....Okay , here it goes...

1* I HATE milk! Shawn stares at me in disbelief while I eat my cereal with water...

2* I am most happy when I am feeding people!

3*I never learned how to "go with the flow",I am a big planner. If something happens to mess up even a small piece of a plan I may just go into a tizzy. No joke!

4* I still check my almost 4 year old twins every night to see if they are breathing , to make sure the covers are not around their heads and to double check that no toys made their way into bed with them.I saw a lifetime movie about a little boy who was strangled by a toy he slept with! Awful , made a big impression on me!

5* My favorite guilty pleasure is Erica's apricot pie! I do mean pie too , as in the whole thing..Do not ask me to share , ever!

Okay those are some facts about me , I am a nut!
Dad , Taryn , Aunt Karen....Tag your it!!!

Valentines Day!

To celebrate Valentines we had a little party for the cousins. We grilled hamburgers and the kids ran around like crazy.
It's always chaos when the 6 of them get together , the really good kind though!
After dinner the kids made valentine cards for Gran and Papa. They had a lot of fun with this craft with all of the glue and glitter pens! We always do a craft when we get together and I think its great. It's a great way to spend time with the kids and they always have a good time with it.
I had a nice time visiting with everyone,I always look forward to these types of family gatherings.
The holidays , even the small ones , are so much fun now with all these kids and their excitement.
This was the best Valentines I think I have ever had! Sad huh? HA!

A Really Perfect Day..

Today was so beautiful so we headed outside for some family fun.
Gran ,Papa and Kevin accompanied us to our neighborhood pond to play.
The kids did a little fishing. Papa showed Austin how to hook a worm.Of course fishing to them is catching weeds then getting bored and abandoning their rods in the water!Gage actually ended up in the water with his rod! To his delight he got to spend the rest of the time in just a diaper.
They ate ice cream , rode their 4 wheelers and played kickball.Gran and I flew a couple of Barbie kites as best as we could but the wind was not consistent enough to fly very well.
Shawn caught a pretty big bass at the end of the day.
It was so great just sitting there and visiting while the kids got to be outside for a change.
I could not have asked for a better Sunday!

Fun Day!

After two weeks of illness the kids were finally able to get out and do something.
This morning Nana took us to the mall for some fun! The kids went to Build A Bear for the first time. The twins really liked picking their animals but Gage could care less.Alex picked a purple ( go figure!) hippo , Austin a green dinosaur and I picked Gage the cheapest dog there was since he had no clue.
Austin put 2 hearts in his instead of one so he thinks his is better than the others!
Alex chose a purple cheer leading outfit , Austin a Spiderman shirt , a Texas Rangers flag and I held up shirt after shirt for Gage to pick.He ended up with a Jeep shirt , it was the only one that he did not say no to.
The whole thing was an experience to say the least. $80 later we were leaving! $80 for 3 stuffed animals!!!!
We had some pizza in the food court and then rode a carousel. The kids actually called it the carnival!
The mall had a wonderful play area that the kids enjoyed too.
It was a really fun outing for the kids .Thank you to Nana for taking them to have a little much needed and well deserved fun time!
When we got home the kids and I took advantage of the weather and we all washed my truck! The kids mostly played in the water while I washed and they had a good time.
For dinner Kevin took all of us to Chicken Reds for dinner. The kids had a blast on the playground.Turns out Gage is getting good at ladder climbing!
At the moment the kids are watching Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory and hopefully winding down for the night.I hope its bedtime soon because Shawn is playing poker tonight and im exhausted from all the fun they had today!

Another First For Gage!

What a mess! Gage has been toilet obsessed these days. Not in the good potty training way either.
He just likes to put stuff , including his hands, in the water.
I am constantly pulling him out of the bathroom.Well he finally clogged the toilet! Shawn was able to plunge it last night but today it was not happening.
After work he and Kyle had to actually remove the toilet!
We knew it had to be in the actual toilet when after removing the toilet from the ground there was still water in the bowl.
So Shawn lifted it up as much as possible while I grabbed everything out..After some nasty stuff, I wont go into (while Kyle was walking away threatning to throw up!),there it was,a little toy baby.
So for now all is clear but at least now Shawn knows how to detatch and unclog for future incidents.

Ladies Night!

On Saturday morning my Mom , our favorite cousin Sandy, and I headed to Shreveport for a much needed ladies night!
We had a blast together! We stayed at the very modern and beautiful Hilton in the convention center in downtown. The hotel was wonderful and shuttled us everywhere we wanted to go.
We gambled a few hours , long enough to loose atleast $60 each then we decided we were better off going shopping! They have a great outdoor mall there called the boardwalk so we killed a few hours there. After dropping our bags off at the hotel we headed to the Horseshoe to loose the rest of our money! Actually Sandy broke even so she did better than Mom and I.
We all had a few drinks and were feeling pretty good so after going back to the hotel we thought some Wing Stop sure sounded great!
Luckily the place was open till 12am so we rushed down there. It was the perfect end to a fun filled night!
On our way home we stopped and did a little outlet shopping.
I had a great time with my Mom and cousin and the overnight stay was much needed.
I may have lost some money but it was a small price to pay for a little time away!
