Halloween!

What a night! The whole Goulding clan came down so the cousins could trick or treat together. We started with pizza for dinner. After dinner the crew went outside and played hard. They rode every imaginable battery operated toy ever made! Gran strolled the little ones around the block while the big ones followed on their 4 wheelers. When it started to get dark we headed inside for costumes.Getting 6 kids all in costume is organized chaos. We had Spiderman,Superman,Princess Aurua,Cheerleader,Good Princess Witch.and Mr.Incredible himself! They were all adorable.
They all took off with their Daddies,Mandy and Gage rode in the wagon.Kyler and Austin would say"I wanna do it again" each house they went to!
They went around the whole neighborhood and came back with a big haul of candy.Mommy and Daddy will be gaining some weight for sure!
We had a wonderful time. Thanks to Aunt Taryn and Uncle Kyle for having us.

My Birthday!

Monday was my birthday and it was a great day.I woke up and the kids all had presents for me,thanks to Nana. That morning Mom watched the kids while Grandma and I did a little shopping.
Nana and the twins made me a birthday cake too! Austin picked it out.He wanted me to have a pink cake with pink icing. So of course strawberry it was.Mom helped the kids to make the cake and they really were proud of themselves. They could barley wait to ice and put the candles on it.I let them blow the candles out because it was more important to them! That night Nana bathed the kids for me ,that is a gift in itself!
I couldn't think of a better way to spend my birthday. It was a wonderful end to a great weekend with my Mom and Grandma.

Nanas Birthday!

Saturday was Nana's birthday. We just lazed around the house that day and played. We picked pecans and went on a tractor ride later in the day. That night we went to a restaurant that I have been going to with my Grandpa since before I can even remember.Needless to say its a special place for our family. We went there for dinner with some of our cousins and my Aunt.We had a wonderful dinner of fish and steak and brought a birthday cake too. When we got home all the kids,Nana and Mimi sat on the front porch swing wrapped up in a blanket and of course told the kids the hay ride story.I think Nana had a good birthday despite having to attend a funeral that morning.

Halloween Party!

Our first night back in Oklahoma we went to Aunt Teri's Halloween party she put on for all the kids at her church. The kids had so much fun! There were tons of games and everybody got to pick a glow stick necklace and a prize from the prize tub. There was hamburgers, hot dog, tons of cupcakes and lots of hot chocolate. The highlight of the party was the hay ride.I cant not begin to accurately describe the ride,it was a blast! We all loaded in the trailer on top of hay of course, and started making our was through the woods. They live way out in the country so I'm not kidding when I say woods!
They had ghosts pop out at various times, worms were thrown on everybody(it was really spaghetti noodles!) and the scare was the Cowboy who jumped out with a running chainsaw! What I wouldn't have gave for a picture of their faces!
The evening was a great success. In fact every night the twins would say"Tell me about the hay ride Nana".Poor Nana told them about it more than 100 times this weekend. It was great!

Nanas Pumpkin Patch!

Today we were supposed to go to the pumpkin farm with Uncle Kyle,Aunt Taryn,Kyler, and Mandy but the farm decided to charge an outrageous admission this year so we didn't.Instead Nana invited us over for some pumpkin fun.She had the table all set with a pumpkin ,pumpkin cake, and Halloween goody bags for each kid.She made all the good food that we ate at the farm last year too! We had apples with carmel, nacho cheese dip, homemade pumpkin ice cream and burgers for lunch.Everything was wonderful.
The kids played and after lunch we went out and carved pumpkins. The kids drew on them first then the Daddy's carved out what they drew.Well they carved what they thought they should have drew! None of the kids wanted to clean the inside of the pumpkins so Aunt Taryn and I got that job. After that Paw Paw took them for a little tractor ride.
It was a wonderful day and we have Nana to thank.Nana your AWESOME!

Week With Mimi!!!

Monday morning me,Nana, and the kids headed to Mimi's house for a few days.
We all had such a great time.Monday we hung out and went to dinner.Tuesday we did a little shopping and had lunch with Aunt Teri.Tuesday afternoon and night we visited with my cousin and her daughters. The kids had a lot of fun there! They had a trampoline and it was a first for the twins. They thought that trampoline was the best thing in the world. It was hard to get Alex to leave their house.Wednesday we had a lazy day and really enjoyed it.Of course all 3 days we averaged about 10 tractor rides a day! The kids love to drive the tractor with Nana.We hook up the wagon and we all go around the neighborhood. There favorite destination is around the corner to see the goat.Austin is getting really good at driving too! He even did donuts in a parking lot! His big tractor adventure was driving to he gas station to fill her up.Nana and Mimi said it was the best $4 ever spent for fun.Gage after awhile started catching on and demanded his turn to drive with Nana too! So that added another trip or 3!
We spent most of the visit outside in the shop just playing and riding the tractor.I could not have asked for a better visit. It was nice to spend time with my Mom and Grandma.I actually got to enjoy my kids too! At home I am busy with meeting their needs and household chores so it was great to just sit back and have days of fun with my kids.
I was really sad when we had to leave.Nana and I both kept toying with the idea of turning around! We decided instead we would go back for her and my birthdays next week.So we are excited to be going back soon. Its not often enough I get to see let alone spend quality time with my Grandma so I'm taking advantage of my Moms time off and we are going again!

Game 2...

Tonight was our second game and they did great! They are so cute out there!
Alex however has ended her T-Ball career. She declared after batting that she was done and did not want to play again.I was a little sad because I enjoyed watching her play but what did I expect?I think after Christmas I am going to enroll her in dance or gymnastics, something with other little girls her age.She loves to be around girls so I think its the way to go.
She had a better time drinking Gatorade and visiting with Nana,Aunt Taryn, and Kylers Aunt Emma!
All the kids have cold right now too. After a bath we dosed them with medicine and in Gages case recalled meds!
Our next game is next Thursday and we are looking forward to it.
Thank you to Nana for coming to watch.Austin loves to have his Nana around,I was surprised he let her go home!

Game 1...

Tonight was our first real game.Although you don't officially keep score we did win!
The kids are getting so much better. We actually had 3 outs our last inning. That shows they are getting the hang of it.
Alex fell on her elbow last night during the slumber party and is supposed to wear a sling because of fluid build up but of course she refuses. She got to watch the game with Aunt Taryn and Grammy Gwen and she was happy. She really likes Grammy Gwen!
Austin has a sure fire plan to get on first. When he hits it, he runs after it ,then throws it behind him and runs to first! Too funny!
Alex was ready to get into the game by the 2nd inning. That's okay because we have another game on Thursday.Word is Nana may be able to come!
I promise to try to get some good pictures the next time.

Slumber Party!

After T-Ball practice got rained out on Monday we went over to Uncle Kyles and Aunt Taryns.
The kids had such a great time running around the yard that Alex literally broke down because she did not want to leave Kyler. So I asked if it would be okay if Kyler came home with us.Needless to say the 3 of them were very excited!
When we got home all 3 plus Gage got a bath which is always fun,for them that is!
Afterwards we had snacks, cheese and crackers, apple slices and cereal bars. They work up little appetites after T-Ball.
When it was time for bed I made a big pallet on the floor and the three of them watched the football game with Shawn. They fell asleep before it was over, thank God!I was surprised though because Shawn was screaming and cussing through the whole game!
Shawn was so excited about the win that he woke me up to tell me! Gee,thanks.
This morning we had cereal and a little bit of play time before taking Kyler home.We love to have him over because the 3 of them are absolutely precious together, not to mention hysterical!

Dragonflies!!!

Tonight we had a swarm of dragonflies in the back yard.Daddy told the kids to grab their nets and head out to the yard! The kids had a blast trying to catch them.Daddy caught a few and accidentally beheaded some trying to catch them!
It was a fun and unexpected little adventure.

18 Months!

Hard to believe my little man is already 18 months old.
Today we went for our check up and the age really shined through! Before the Dr. never bothered him , today he clung to my like static! He cried when the nurse did her measurements and cried again during the exam.We made it through though.
He had his Hep A and flu vaccine today.
He was 32 3/4 inches tall and 27lbs.He was 60th percentile in both.
Dr. said he was doing great, of course I knew that!
Special thanks to Gran for saving Daddy's but, yet again and watching the twins ,making the appt. a lot less hectic!

Scrimmage!

Tonight we had our first scrimmage.Gran , Papa and Grammy Gwen came to watch the kids.
It was everything you imagine 3-5 yr olds playing ball would be!It was for sure funny and at times even a little chaotic.
All the kids did really well , especially for their age.Alex needs to learn to run after she bats! She wants to go back to the dug out.The first time she bat though she tried to steal second!
Her second time to bat there was one of the Dads at first first.Well as soon as she saw him she got scared and turned around! I had to go take her hand ,run her to first then run her to second where the Coach was.It was really funny!
Austin would hit the ball but would immediately run after it with his bat!
There are some fundamentals that we need to go over for sure!
If home runs were allowed in T-Ball that is all there would be.None of the kids on either team can get to the ball fast enough , not to mention throw and catch it before you could run around all the bases!
Oh well , this is not to be competitive, its for the kids to have fun and we are definitely winning at that!
