Pumpkin Parade!

Tuesday the kids had their parade of pumpkins around the school.It was so cool to see the many creative designs by the parents kids.
It was also another red ribbon theme so the kids wore their shades to show they were too cool for drugs.It has been a fun fun week at school and we are not even 1/2 way done!
Wednesday they have a drug dog presentation and Friday is the Fall carnival during school.Lots of fun ahead!

Red Ribbon Week...

This week is Red Ribbon Week at school.To kick off the week we had a big school wide balloon release at the end of the day.
Each balloon had the kids drug free pledge on it and also a note to call us so that we can track how far the balloons went.
The kids had no clue we were doing it till we delivered the balloons to their rooms at the end of the day! They all had so much fun and it really did get the kids excited about the week.
Our local grocer donated all the balloons to us and another business man here in town donated a Uhaul truck to transport them all to school.Ever since becoming involved with our PPT I am so in awe of the awesome community we have here.Everyone is so willing to help and donate their time and resources for our kids.Thank you Alvarado!

Halloween Carnival...

Sunday afternoon we went to the annual carnival in Gran and Papas neighborhood.Its a favorite of the kids every year!
They played games and won prizes and had a blast.They ran around the yard that evening and we all enjoyed the visit.Thanks to Gran and papa for sharing the day with us!

Way To Go Austin!!!

Saturday Austin got his first upgrade in Karate from a white belt to an orange stripe.It was a big deal ti him and he has worked very hard to get it.Thanks to Gran and Papa for coming to support him.

Pumpkin Painting!

Friday night the kids painted pumpkins for school..The boys insisted on painting in their Cowboy hats! Afterward it was straight to the tub for some fun in the bubbles....

A First...

Sunday morning Austin discovered that his bottom front tooth was loose.I didn't realize it but it was just barely hanging on!
I sent him to Sunday school and told him to be careful not to swallow it because it was a real small tooth.
When I arrived to pick him up Miss Rachael handed me his tooth! She said they were in class when he announced he had pulled his tooth out and sure enough he did.
He was so very excited and couldn't wait to show everyone he saw.Sunday night he prepared for bed and was very anxious with lots of tooth fairy questions.
Monday morning he opened his eyes and asked me if she came...When he looked under the pillow and found $5 ,he was beaming! He walked to breakfast just showing off his tooth money.He is very excited now about loosing the rest of his teeth!

TIMBER!!!!!

Sunday morning Shawn and Steven went to my Moms and cut down 4 dead trees in her yard.Oh my was that a site to see.I arrived that afternoon and watched them cut down 2 of them.That was some funny stuff! Steven up a ladder with a chainsaw and shawn with a tie down wrapped around a branch pulling it away from the house when it falls.What fell was Shawn! HA , it was too funny watching those big limbs go down and Shawn pulling them and falling on his back..Seriously , funny stuff!
Monday night Shawn , Steven , and Kyle split all 4 tress with a wood splitter and now we have a ton of wood for the winter..Thanks guys , we will certainly enjoy the cozy fires this winter..

Chili Cook Off!

Saturday night we had a chili cook off at Kyle and Taryn's. Kyle , Steven and I competed but apparently no one won! Everyone decided that if you miss all 3 together then that makes the perfect chili..HMMMM sounds like no one wanted to make a decision! Regardless all 3 were delicious and we had a wonderful time visiting and of course talking trash to the competition!

Cowboy Hats...

Friday night we went with friends to the fish fry at the Beaumont Ranch.Austin has been asking for a hat for a very long time.
After dinner Shawn bought the boys their own cowboy hats and they were a big hit.

Turkey Fry...

Saturday night we got together with friends and had a big turkey fry. We fried 2 birds and had all the trimmings to go with them.It was a little mini Thanksgiving.!The kids , all 11 of them , had a blast running around Charlies and jumping on the trampoline.

The food was absolutely delicious,almost as good as the company.

Trip to Oklahoma..

Friday afternoon Nana and my family headed to Oklahoma for some fun in the country.The kids are always excited to go to Aunt Teris.
She recently renovated a house that was on her property so we had our own 3 bedroom house to stay in.It was so fabulous!
We had such a great time and Aunt Teri is the perfect hostess.Big breakfast and lots of yummy food and desserts...I wish the weekend was not so short.

Man Camp....

Uncle Rocky has made a place on his land called Man Camp..Its complete with his on pond and an old school bus he is renovating and it actually has a porch on it..it is really awesome!Friday night we went out to man camp and roasted some marshmallows.It rained Saturday night so we were not able to go back and the kids were VERY VERY upset by that!
