Summer Is Here!

Today we were invited by Aunt Erica to have a play date with Megan at their neighborhood pool.
The kids had a blast!
They have 2 pools there, one is only 1 foot deep and has a shower and water dump bucket as Austin calls it.
Erica and I were able to lay in the sun while the kids swam around in the kiddie area.Erica brought sandwiches to the pool and we all had a nice lunch poolside.
It really is an awesome place to take the kids and for the Moms to relax.
Thanks to Aunt Erica and Megan for sharing it with us today,we will be showing up at your house this summer!

So Excited!!!

Tonight my neighbor called and wanted to know if I wanted to go see Sex and the City movie..Let me see.....YES YES YES!!!! I am so excited to see this movie! Yes , I know I am a total dork but I can not help it.
So Saturday after dropping Alex off for girlie time with Nana I am off to the movies .I can already hear the popcorn just begging me to put more butter on it!
While I am at the movies Shawn is taking the boys to Gran and Papas for boys night.Yep , that's right a free night.
Our anniversary is on Sunday so we are going to go out Saturday with the kids gone.
All he told me was to dress really nice so I am thinking I am at least getting a steak!
Will let everyone know about the movie and my big date night.

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip...

We took the kids on their first ever camping trip.
We went with Aunt Taryn ,Uncle Kyle, cousins and our neighbors who have a 5 year old daughter who is Alex's bff at the moment.
The whole weekend was just perfect.
The kids loved camping and being outdoors for 2 nights and 3 days.
They got to experience a lot of first on the trip.
It was so much fun to watch them having a blast with each new thing.
I am so glad my kids love the outdoors and camping because I grew up camping with my Mom and that is definitely something I want to pass down to them.
No question , we will be back!

Dinosaur Valley...

After setting up camp and having lunch we set out for a hike in Dinosaur Valley.
The land was absolutely breath taking.
The kids and adults really enjoyed hiking through the area.
We walked out into the river and found some tracks to step in.
Our kids are such outdoor people! They hiked , dodged , climbed and walked through the river without one complaint.
This hike was one of the best highlights on our vacation.

A First...

It was so cool to introduce the kids to roasting marshmallows in the camp fire.
The kids thought we were way cool , like we had invented this!
We taught them how to make smores and made a few of those. After awhile they began making them for the adults.I can probably never again eat another marshmallow!
We did it right too.The daddies got sticks from the trees and Steven carved them to perfection.
It was so heart warming to watch them experience this and have such fun.
Although there is really nothing scarier than 6 toddlers running around with fireball marshmallows coming right at you!!!

Perfect...

Big Rock Park was right across the street from our camp site.
Each day after the parks we changed into our suits and went there to cool off.
It is so beautiful there. The kids had such a blast.
There is a snow cone stand right in front of it and each day we stopped before our swim.
I'm spoiled now! In the afternoons now I want a snow cone!
This place is truly beautiful . It was awesome wading in the middle of such beautiful nature surroundings..

Dino World!!!

Sunday after an awesome breakfast we loaded up and went to Dino World.
This place was fabulous! There were over 100 life size replicas of different dinosaurs.
All 6 kids would beg Aunt Taryn to read the short story about the dinosaurs at each stop.
At the end of the trail the kids got to dig for fossils and they got to keep 3 fossils. Those kids treated those bags of fossils like a treasure!
They have a great playground there as well. All 6 got to go pick out a souvenir from the gift shop.
I highly recommend Dino World for a great family outing.

Goofing Around...

The kids all thought this was pretty cool..Even Uncle Kyle!

BFF'S!

After a fun filled weekend these 6 kids were sad to be leaving each other. The twins keep asking to go back to their "other home "outside . They are adjusting to not having their friends around 24-7!
I'm glad they got to have this awesome experience.

Special Thanks..

Thank you to Erica for treating all of the Goulding girls to an overnight spa getaway.
It was fabulous! Getting out of the house and having time to have girl talk was much needed.
The massage and facial were my favorites!
We owe you one....

Mothers Day...

I had a really good day thanks to my husband and wonderful kids.
I met a close friend of mine for lunch then did a little window shopping before heading home.
Shawn had done my daily chores while I was gone and that was a great surprise! He also helped the kids make me cards.
We ended the day playing outside with Kyle , Taryn, and cousins. The boys fixed a wonderful fajita dinner for all of us.
It was really a great day!

Make Over!

I always say I am going to leave my template alone but Erica always finds the coolest blog templates!
So once again I changed..Thanks Erica for the links!

Mustard!

As soon as I walked in the door from working out I saw it...MUSTARD!
Shawn was in the kitchen and I calmly asked him if he knew just what the kids were doing...I walked him into the front of the house where the playhouse (that we thought did not need to be screwed together )was torn apart and mustard covered it and our carpet, not to mention them.Mustard doesn't really come out of carpet either.
It has been a long time since the last condiment mess but it sure is aggravating.
I don't blame Shawn though because those kids have snuck into the fridge and gotten stuff out on my watch too.Living with toddlers is just one big messy adventure!

Relaxing Sunday....

The past 4 days have been crazy busy so I decided to go and relax at my Moms this afternoon. We don't get out there much but today was so pretty we just had to go play outside at Nana's.
The kids thought it was 100 degrees outside and played in the beach area of the pool! It was cold water but they did not care.We are all looking forward to playing in the pool and bbq this summer at Nana's.
They ran around and even helped Nana water and feed all her flowers.
The highlight though was going for tractor rides with Pawpaw.
All my kids love riding and driving!
Gage has been tractor obsessed since visiting Mimi.
We had a wonderful afternoon and all 3 kids have sunburns to show for it!

Kyler is 4!

Saturday after t-ball we went to Kylers 4th birthday party.
It was at the park and it was a beautiful day to have it there.
The pavilion was right next to the playground and it was perfect for the kids and parents.
The party was a great success , all the kids had a great time.Aunt Taryn gave them all bubble wands and it was cool to see the park covered in bubbles!
After the party us and some friends and neighbors grilled out .The kids had a wonderful time being together and the big boys got a poker gamer together.
It was a late night but we had a fabulous time! Thanks Aunt Taryn for hosting!

Cinco De Mayo....

Friday night Alex danced at the Cinco De Mayo celebration.
Before the dance we took Nana and Pawpaw for dinner for an early Mothers Day celebration for Nana.
Alex was very excited to be dancing again and was a ham on stage!
As soon as she walks out she starts waving to people and just smiling ear to ear.
This was the first time Pawpaw has got to see her dance and she did her best to show off.
After the dance the kids ride the little kids farris wheel and loved it.
We ended the night visiting with all of our neighbors while the kids ran outside. It was a busy but great day.

Tea Pot!

May Fest 2008!

Tonight Alex had a dance performance at Mayfest.I was dreading battling the traffic and crowds but it really was not bad at all.
She had a blast getting her hair and makeup done! She loves wearing her costume and asked me to take her picture several times.
As you can see in the videos she could use some more practice but she is having so much fun and that is what matters.
It was fun for me to see her get excited about seeing her dance friends and watch her run and play with them , all in pink tu tu's!
I am so happy she has found something she really enjoys.I look forward to dance class and performances because of how much I know they excite her.
It was just her and I tonight since the show was at 6pm.The highlight was on the way home. She was in her booster , eating her happy meal and out of the blue said" It was really cool hanging out with you tonight"...Just when I thought she was starting to hate me already!
It was a fabulous night and I am excited about her Cinco De Mayo dance tomorrow!
