Great Day!

Today was just one of those days that was truly great all around.
We started early this morning with both kids soccer games.Gran and Papa(a.k.a. their #1 die hard fans!)came and cheered the kids on.The highlight for the kids was the concession stand trip Papa treated them to.He started off walking with Austin but by the time he got up there all 5 kids were in tow! They all enjoyed a hot dog with Papa.
After the game the Dads went hunting and the rest of us went to lunch.
Mandy and Gage came home with me and had a nap while the big kids went to Taryn's and from what I hear had a blast playing with Papa.
Gran was a big hit with the girls today because she brought them a new pair of glitter shoes!Mandy found walking a challenge because she kept looking at her pretty sparkling feet!
After the little ones woke up we went to Taryn's to see Gran and Papa before they left then we headed to church.
Our church had their annual mission fundraiser tonight that involves a little store set up in the family center along with an auction after dinner.
Grammy Gwen , Taryn , myself and the 5 kids went early so the kids could play in the bounce houses that were set up and also play in the antique fire truck.
Those kids had so much fun ! They bounced ,played ,ate candy and drank lots of lemonade.
At the little store inside they had jars of different candy that were $.01.Grammy gave them all some change and they had a great time filling up their bags!
We had a wonderful BBQ dinner in the family center with lots of home made desserts.I myself had 3! We actually had dinner by ourselves because the kids spent the whole time in the nursery playing. We could not get them out! Which was just fine with us because they were having a great time with all the other kids and we had some nice adult conversations for a change.
We stayed for about 3/4 of the auction .Unfortunately the items we wanted went for about $800! We had a fabulous time none the less.Alex broke down in complete sobs when it was time to go.We got there at 3pm and left at 8:30pm but she was still wanting to play. She felt better once I told her tomorrow was Sunday and we would be back.
It was just a great day all around.Spending quality time with family then spending the rest of the day surrounded by good people and being part of something wonderful just gives you a peaceful feeling.
